Fallout is a series of post-apocalyptic role-playing video games created by Interplay Entertainment. The series is set during the 22nd and 23rd centuries, and its atompunk retrofuturistic setting and artwork are influenced by the post-war culture of 1950s America, with its combination of hope for the promises of technology and the lurking fear of nuclear annihilation.

  • The deathclaw companion, would be such a huge distraction, i would want a lil army of intelligent deathclaw babys fucking up shit in the wasteland … And then id be all pissed Bethesda gave me this character with no ability to have that opinion, even if it is game breaking… 😂

  • One idea I actually thought would be cool would be if instead of having a raider gang in the satellite station it would be a small group of enclave remnants. I feel like maybe during your trip to Woodspoke the people there will talk of a strange creature that only comes out at night, describing it as dark with two orange glowing eyes. They say that many have pursued the creature but none have returned, but when you travel into the mountains the enclave instead choose to enlist your services. I thought perhaps like the Mojave Chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, they'd also have power struggles, with one group remaining xenophobic and wanting to wipe out all mutants and the other just wanting to rebuild America. One thing I thought of was having the two groups being led by known enclave decendants, with the xenophobic group under the leadership of one of Dick Richardson's decendants and the other led by Augustus Autumn the third and his brother named something like James, (Provided the lone wanderer chose to let Colonel Autumn live.) And their reasoning for scouting the town is they want to acquire a pre-war cache filled with weapons and other rare pieces of technology the people of Woodspoke built their town on. The Richardson ending to this side plot would involve accusing major Autumn and his brother of being traitors to the United States for abandoning the enclaves original mission and kill everyone in the town and burn away their houses to get to the cache, later building a base on the ashes. Or you could side with the people of Woodspoke and destroy the enclave leaving their homes intact. Or you could side with Major Autumn and his brother chief scientist James, to convince the enclave to abandon purity and focus on rebuilding America, in which they take a diplomatic approach to Woodspoke giving military protection as well as using some of the tech from the cache to provide electricity and clean drinking water. Later in the game it would be possible for Richardson to join Thomas Praxton to use their weapons and advanced equipment to help destroy the Pariah League, the 80s, and later the Khans. Or if you side with the Autumn brothers you could again convince them to work with the pioneers, or you could convince them to ally with the Pariahs or the Hands of the Father, however the Khans and 80s will always be undisputed enemies as the enclave aren't fans of their raider like activity and the Khans dislike them because of the enclaves disregard for nature. I also thought it would be cool if there was an enclave companion you could take with you who's also conflicting with the two groups and you could convince him to either follow the enclaves original mission in which case he becomes hostile to the Pariah League or you can convince him otherwise and he'll become more excepting of mutants, but he'll still be a military man. And finally I thought it would be cool if many of the more xenophobic choices were only possible if you took a trait I like to call "True Human" where your uncorrupted human DNA makes you 20% more susceptible to diseases but you're much better with scientific skills.

  • Bethesda is strongly hinting at Texas…they know how popular New Vegas was. It was the only state mentioned in Fallout 3/NV/4. It has the opportunity to be the largest map they've ever made with all the best aspects of Fallout 3 and NV in one.

  • I don't necessarily agree with having a lack of a vague background for the player to work with. I think New Vegas and fallout 1 both do it well as the motivation for partaking in the action is up to you, while still leading the player somewhat into interacting with new factions and places, interacting and changing the world as you explore the main quest. It also gives the player agency to their actions. To me, the best time of intro for this game would be being apart of a caravan, whatever reason that may be, and be attacked by the 80s tribe and left for dead. You choose to seek them out for whatever reason, in the process being introduced to the world and making a name for yourself in the process, eventuallt getting caught up in a larger conflict in trying to fulfill your quest, whether it is a vendetta, intrigue or to just get paid for your job.

  • don't take this criticism personally, but having the only female companion being the only possible romance (can't female players romance at least one male main companion? like it isn't even inclusion or rapresentation, it just heterosexuality for women) (or possibly have some bi or gay options), plus her character being in big part based on being rejected by a powerful man for her appearance is a bit controversial in 2020.
If a male companion personality was based on being rejected by a woman and this thing shaping his whole identity he'd be called a simp.

  • I'd have some splinter faction of the Legion included in the game. Mostly because Bethesda diden't allow the Legion to be as developed as Obsidian wanted. Maybe give them motorized chariots like they were supposed to have in VanBuren.
