  • A company much like any other out there.

Two, maybe three people doing actual work and 4 managers 'managing' them

  • I've played this game a lot in the past. You need to have dedicated machine operators. Basically, two workers per machine and they handle just the aspects of that machine. (Load, Unload, Operate) Since you have a lot of the same machines, this is when it makes sense to setup conveyor belts to storage bins to fill up the machine's inputs. That way you can have one or two people dedicated to loading the machines and allowing the operators to concentrate on operating the machines. Also, use conveyors that are under the floor, so you don't block walkways.

  • Your machines are only at like 10% productivity because the guy who runs them has to step away all the time to get materials to stick into the machine. Should have one dude per machine just sitting there and operating it, while 1-2 haulers per machine stuff them full of silver and steel. Should more than pay for the cost of hiring the extra hands. It's better than just buying more machines as well, because there's little investment needed and factory floor space is optimised.

Pretty cool game though. Thanks Someone.

  • Hey SKS, first time commenting..

The problem with your first two machines is that you're having 1 person operate two machines… the way it seems to work from what I've noticed, is that they only actually OPERATE when you have someone on the control panel, so essentially, you're wasting two machines at all times by having them at 0% productivity, while the other two are at 100%

You need to have one worker per machine, and then they'd be operating at all times, and not sitting still doing nothing.

  • if you hire another machine operator instead of having her do both, you will get much better efficiency.
